That is ridiculous. $5500 would be expensive for an intact guitar he played for a song or two but one thats busted up?

Hey, if someone is stupid enough to buy it, why not.

These Kiss guys take being "all about the money" to another level.

I would never buy that stupid smashed guitar, but if they can make money off it, why not?

Most rockers from their era are sitting at home broke and crying that "My manager tricked me out of most of the money and I spent the rest on drugs. Poor, poor me." Just watch those old VH1 Behind the Music shows - it's the same sob story every time. Kiss has found a way to make the music industry work for them instead of the other way around. They may not have written many songs that inspire me lately, but I respect them for the way they've sustained and taken control of their career.

He barely touched the stage with it and the neck broke off instantly. And I thought that the Kramer headstock seams were weak.

If they would use one new guitar per song and in the end they autograph it and sell to the kids i would understand

So what! Don't want it, don't buy it. Why would Paul retire if he (they) are still selling out stadiums everywhere they go? Funny.

That actually sounds like a Gene idea.

I like this disclaimer...."Not included in the price is your concert ticket."

I have to agree with Rick though.

If they have something they want to sell, and there's a market for selling it then more power to 'em

Rick: I only stated that because when I watched the video, to me it was just so outdated and old. Ya, if he wants to sell a $300 guitar for 5k after he broke it why not? "A fool and his money are soon parted"

I don't buy the tour speeches..."we are only doing it for the fans" bullshit, it's for the money, period. After all, it's their jobs.

Paying licensing fees to breathe the air at a KISS concert?

hahaha yeah, I'm sure it takes a whole lot of cash to keep the KISS machine rolling in order to make money to begin with!
