Default Need Suggestion for Live Pedal Board Under $200.

I am now playing with a variety band playing everything from 60's to Katy Perry. I am using a Peavey 2x12 transtube amp with strat (Pearly Gates/Tex Mex).

In the pedal board I would like to have your basic effects, dist, wah, flanger....

Any suggestions would be great. I have found a used DIGITECH GNX4 but haven't got to the store to try it yet. Thanks in advance!!

I've always liked the look of the Boss ME50 as a multi unit- all those quality boss pedals rolled in to one with selectable presets to dial in for each particular song seems pretty good for a live act playing a wide range of genres. I like my individual pedals but I don't think they'd be as versatile as the ME50 for something like you're doing.

It looks a lot more solid than Boss' current plasticky offerings too!

The Line6 M9 is great! it tracks very surprisingly well, the delays are amazing (almost exact to the dl4) and the modulation is fun! the distortions are alright if you use them for more of a boost. this pedal is killer! if you want one to add to your existing board you might want to try the line6 M5 which is a smaller pedal board friendly unit, and works great with analog pedals, and other digital pedals. the M13 is great too, however the octave options dont track as well as the M9.

I can think of a few MultiFX units that'd probably work for you, but a good condition GNX4 for less than $200 is definitely worth checking out. All the effects are there and fully tweakable, but the built-in recorder feature is what really sets this one apart from the rest.

I've been using a Line6 POD Live XT for a the last 5 years. Check out the specs. I use mostly amp emulations but there are a lot of other gizmos you can program. We are all direct into a Crown rack. The input to the PA is really clean. I have seen them used in good shape at reasonable prices. The manual is available online.

I prefer other external pedals like ways and whammy's.

Or some used ebay Boss pedals... but I have found if you're using a PA those effects can be noisy. I don't use a noise gate with the POD.
