Default always push your bar in....

so i was swapping out pups on my yo-retta and was going to dive the trem so i could stick something between it and the cavity so i could just undo the strings from the tuners, swap the pups and restring without having to completely reset the whole thing...but i didnt push the bar all of the way in apparently and snapped the threaded peice sticking out from the trem...i feel like a fool. well, i guess its no more bar action until i get a replacement....FR special? probably....

prorockgear.com is the only place I get bars from now. It comes with the collar (old or new school) and a wrench....and extremely fast shipping.

That's what Tim is saying, you get the bar with the collar on it AND the threaded piece that it mounts to. You can also JUST get the threaded portion for six bucks plus shipping. No FRS needed...
If God would have wanted you up there He'd a miracled your ass up there by now, wouldn't He?

Yep. For 16 bucks you get a new bar, collar and wrench. I'd do that then use the old bar as a standby or replacement.

Newer collared ones should have a Allen screw on bottom side.
Usually same size as string clamps.

I see you got it off, but for those not in the know, some times you have to take a piece of wood or a mallet and hammer it out. Those new school ones can be a bitch to get in and out.

I've done the same thing on a Yo trem. You'd think that piece would be stronger, but it's actually quite frail.

yes, i thought the same. the amount of pressure it took to completely peel off one side of the arm housing was small indeed. thankfully a tech novice such as myself has a place as great as this forum to turn for help. once again guys, thanks for the help
