That is a sexy blue! Happy NGD! How do the Dragonfires sound?
Picked this up in a trade last week....Edge III trem on this one is the best one I've had yet, function and feel is solid and tight. Pulled out the Infinity humbuckers and put in a set of Dragonfires, tore it down for the "once over" and gave her a bath and setup to my liking. It's in great shape, has the normal pick swirls/scratches but no major dings or gouges. I've had RG3's, 350's, 370's and loved them all, but dammit I just cannot bond with these big assed frets. I normally grip the neck like I'm tryin to break the effer in half and these huge frets cause my fingers to hurtOther than that, its an awesome axe.

Nice one Bruce. It goes well with the pool.
Those Ibby's are fun to play once you get used to the frets. Since it's hot (year round...insert anotherhere) Try greasing up the frets with lemon oil rubbed in and put some baby powder on your fret hand for the back of the neck. I'm sure you'll bond with this...these are very fun to play.

I lemon-oiled the hell out of the fretboard/frets, but I dont think I will go as far as the baby powder...yes its hot here, but I do not have a heat rash Timbo..........
To be 'economical' pups, the Dragonfires are quite nice and versatile....they are not quite as hot of an output as their 'economical' counterpart aka GFS Power Rails, but still very pleasing to the ear. The chrome rings were stock on the guitar......
(dont be surprised when this shows up in the Klassifieds if I dont start gellin with this neck....)
