Default Looking for a new amp

Alright guys, I need your help once again. I'm looking to upgrade my amplifier, and I don't know where to start. Right now I'm using a Marshall MG100HDFX head and a Crate 4x12 cabinet, and I think I'm at the stage where I should get a nice(r) one. I want the option to gig with it, but also have the ability to play it in a basement/apartment. I don't have any particular loyalty to a brand, so Ampeg to Vox, it's all open for me. I'm kind of eyeing a Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 right now, but I'm not sure it's the right one for me.
    Some notes:
    - Budget up to $600ish
    - Using a Boss DS-1, Boss TR-2, and a DigiTech DigiDelay (I know they aren't the best, but I don't need fancy schmancy $150+ pedals right now)
    - Good for Rhythm playing. That's right, I want it to sound great while I chugga chugga my arm off.
    - Would like it to have a headphone jack so I can play at 2am.
    - I play mainly hard rock and metal. (main influence is Metallica); but the occasional clean playing does happen.

I'll add to this list when I can think of other things or if someone brings up a good question/point.

    Thanks!

Maybe it's not so good for the bedroom, but you could get one of these and probably just keep the Crate cabinet for now (as long as its an 8 or 16 ohm cab). It's not Marshall's top model for sure, but it would blow away anything in the MG line. Good luck and let us know what you ultimately end up with.
