Default A CL Squier with a Digitech pedal board. I passed. And I feel good.

One of the neat things about CL is you can talk to the seller if they leave a phone number. I called the seller and I asked alot of questions about the Squier and the pedal. Hell, both were $100. Backup the truck. Well, no so fast. Turns out, they are selling the items to make money to pay the rent. I called the guy back and I suggested that with a little reserach he could get alot more money. I shot myself in the fett. And it feels fine.

Kind of like the Squier I had. They were a young family and had already been to pawn with it; they wouldn't even take it. I gave them the full asking price as cheap as it was, I still got screwed but no one else would have bought that thing.
Good KF deals: SamanthaM, velocity, Full Crib, skydive69, helocene, aywilson, mrwhipper, Vengeance, Robert Blake, FOR_THE_LOVE_OF_JEMS, Rick S, dan_vito, kickaxeguitars, flyingvfreak, geetar10, redrocker67, Del Hudson, gstring85, movnmik

There are only a few times in life when making the Snag is not the right thing to do. I have had too many great cheap snags to mention. I hope the guy sells the Squier and the pedal for than $100. I see listings on ebay where people go through all the effort to list a guitar item for $2. It's a sign of the times.

Not to disrupt the feel-good fett thread but do you really think he's going to get more for that package?

You must not deal a lot with Seattle CL'ers.

    Dunno.
But I like watching old tube-based organs list for 500, then 100, then find them in the "Free" section.

OK, that has only happened ONCE, but still kind of fun.
Usually upscale folks that have inherited organs that used
to cost as much as a brand new car.

Incredible inventory of uselful stuff to be found in those heavy old beaters.

(Qualifier...I refuse to gut out GOOD organs. I leave those to the afficianados, and
tip them to the the deals).
Got my eye on a very cool Hammond M2 for the family room.
Sweet, it can do the B3 Deep Purple tone.

Well, I guess talking to the guy blinded me. You can Web rag all you want. I'm just a Viking godlike one-eyed blind person. It didn't cost me one penny to offer my info with the intent of him making the rent.

My point is that you would've done more good buying the item...

Even if the seller has sold his soul to the devil, let's at least do what we can.

I called the guy back because the AD is still there. I know you get on my case for being spacey here. That's one thing. It gets lively. However, I spent my working life dealing with people live or on the phone. Anyway, I think the stuff is still there but not there. After trying to figure what he was saying, the real owner has the swag. I told him to tell him I'll buy it. All someone has to do is call me.

I guess, I just did. With conditions. We are talking. I want the guitar and pedal delivered to a neutral place near my homes. The seller lives about 30 miles away. That's a 60 mile roundtrip. Therefore, I added $30 for his time and gas. I told you, I wasn't buying anymore guitars. But this started before I said that.

That was a stand up thing to do. Glad you picked it up. You will bring it new life or pass it on to a budding guitarist. I recently snagged an 89 MIK Squire from a guy for $40. It turns out the couple were getting rid of a lot of clutter and if it didn't sell on CL it was bound for the dump! Now I have converted it into a really cool player and it has a new life. That's the great part about all of this. Now if I can only get my 86 Peavey Falcon up and running!

That's seems to be a pretty good deal you got on your MIK Squire strat for $40.
