I'm so sorry you feel like giving up... Please don't!!! Everyone on this board who's been playing a while has felt that way at one time or another. It's a path you have to take to get to be good. I'm sure Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth, etc. has felt this way at one time or another. Take me for example, I have little hands, so playing guitar was especially hard for me. I come from a non musical family, but I learned from Doug Marks, 'if you truly have the desire to play, the talent is there' so I plugged away year after year, not knowing if I made progress or not. But eventually I did. Does it take some longer to get there than others? Sure, but the enjoyment of playing is the end reward you're looking for. It took me longer to get there than these 15 yr olds who can shred in a year or 2, but you know, it's not a race.
Record yourself playing as you learn and listen back to those recordings. You'll be amazed at your progress..
I've been playing now over 30 years and love it for the pure pleasure of playing. Please don't give up.. All of us here on the Kramer forum will help you out.
Good luck,
Andy
