    Default JJ's Gorgomyte, Awesome!

I recently found out about this product and can't rave enough about it. Gorgomyte is a cleaning cloth that has been chemically treated and you use it to clean your fretboard and frets. Kiss the steel wool good by cause this stuff shines them right up plus cleans and treats your fret board. Look them up on google and check out the demo.

i saw that on floydupgrades.com and want to get it. wasn't sure if it was another "gimmick" or not, but seems to be pretty legit. quite honestly, i've been holding out for "oxy clean" to come out with a guitar cleaning product!!

I think you'll be impressed. I did a trade and picked up a squire with a rosewood board that was so dirty that you couldn't see the grain. I took one of my used pieces to get the worst of the dirt loosened up and then took a new piece to it. Save your used pieces cause I'm finding you can get more mileage out of them even after they are almost black.

for $18 a bag I'm just going to keep throwing them out after I use them. I usually cut four 1" pieces when I clean a fretboard, so I can get a lot of use out of one cloth. They really look gross when you get done, so I'd rather not have to store them and get the residue on my fingers to save a buck or two.

did you mean $18 for 2 bags? they should have been $9 + shipping.
They are pretty gross afterward but, the have plenty of the chemical left on them. I always finish up with a clean one and then my old fender polishing cloth. An old tee shirt will work too.
I usually start at the heel of the neck and polish toward the 12th fret. then I come back and get the seam of the fret and board. It can sometimes take rubbing for a bit to get all the grime off but the end result is just super. have an LTD with a rosewood board that was almost gray. it was brand new but kinda dried out. I treated it and now the board looks healthy.

I saw the GHS thing on the site. I hoped it meant you could pick it up at a store that sold GHS strings but every where I checked didn't carry it. Mine had the dino on it too. I don't know if they changed the packaging for GHS or not. I know I ordered mine on a Friday, got confirmation of the order on Saturday and it was in the mailbox on Monday. shipped out from KY.
I don't think they sold out to GHS, just got a dist. deal.
