    Default My Stagemaster I's

I picked these up at the weekend open to the public Kramer, Neptune NJ sale many moons ago.
The salmon pink Stagemaster is one of 2 made in this color and layout. I should have bought both.
The black Stagemaster I is a Canadian Prototype.

Man, they look sweet . Welcome to KF. Salmon id a dicey color on a guitar but this one came out great. Is this a neck-through-maple-sustain-block? Wings look a bit like ash, don´t they?

From what I remember, Kramer was beginning to explore Canadian made Kramer guitars.
This was towards the end of the Neptune facilities existence.
I think they were using La Si Do for these prototype builds.
My black Stagemaster prototype body is slightly smaller than production Stagemaster bodies.
Former Kramer insiders, Paul Unkert or John Hingie would know more about this offshoot.

The Canadian neckthrough Kramers would have been built by Larrivée in the late 80s...aka Paul Deans & Stagemasters

LASIDO made Pacer/Baretta bolt-on necks and bodies around 84-85

TBH my first reaction was "bleh, what a hideous color"...then I started looking closer.
It's a fantastic looking guitar and the color compliments the grain.
    That neck is just stunning!
As said...is that maple with ash wings?
    How much does it weigh?
