For the most part, what is listed is fair market value.
It's part of the buyer code to haggle a better price, been going on since the days of the Romans.

i will admit that i offered a lower price but it was 50 dollars lower. i normally pay what people are asking. we all are guilty of a little lowballing. hell i give more stuff away than i sell here. i did have my PC1 up for sale here at a fair price i thought and it was rediculous at how some people wanted it for nothing.

Offering 50 bucks lower than a 6 bill selling price is not called lowballing...it's called making an offer.

    Lowballing is this:

    Pacer for sale: $500 shipped.
Now the LB offer: "I'll give you $200 for it shipped"
Or: "I'll trade you my sweet $50.00 first act guitar for it"....you get the idea.

That one is news to me.

I do this most of the time myself, it's a nice thing to do and to receive.

    Still believe the same thing
I've bought two here. On the first one the price tag was set and more than reasonable. On the second one I told the seller to make a price that is ok for him and that I paid without whining. Only thing was to beg the seller to hold it a couple of weeks, so I could recover frome the first one. And yeah, it was TJ the grandmaster of guitar packaging. In the process I have won a friend. And that is a cool thing if you are a whole continent away. Anyways, same thing wouldn't have happened on the bay. What I like to say is, that I'm not keen on doing business with a forum bro because I think that KF is the place of the cheap-ass-deals but because it is the TRUE HOME OF KRAMERS. The key word for me here is "trust". But that's just me and I might be a bit old fashioned when it comes to doing business with people. I nevertheless hope to shoot some more cool deals with you here and not elsewhere and not just because you know what you're talking about.

Me personal I dig the concept of "bros first, bay later".

Listed a $220 pedal here for $100 shipped and never heard from anyone.

Listed on debay for $125 and didn't last 5 minutes

First time I have ever not sold a pedal here though

I have quit selling guitars that need shipped as I have become too paranoid about lost/breakage/douchebags.

Still not a soul interested in the pacer classic :happy1 "just awesome guitars" :happy1

I've seen my fair share of offers on here, wouldn't consider many of them lowballing but sometimes the cost of shipping and VAT/Custom you've had importing them in the first place has to be added up (being a poor student). I therefore reckon that sometimes prices from European bros can seem somewhat high compared to US prices, that also due to the fluctuating dollar (that has ranged anywhere from 5.30 SEK to 9.50 SEK during my time here)

I've bought and sold here in the past. Always had a good experience. Sold one for less then I wanted to....and later saw it on sale locally for a lot more but whatever. I try to be fair, and ask what the person wants for it if there is no price and if its higher then I'm willing to pay then I just leave it. If it doesn't sell the seller will usually drop the price. I don't mind haggling $50 here and there, but asking to accept $200 less is just plain dumb.

Low-ballers are everywhere though. I've been asked on Kijiji is I wanted to trade a guitar for a PS3 and some video games, or other dumb shit. I had a disaster selling on Ebay last year, shit happens. I just hope the Klassifieds stay up on this site, as its the first source I go to and most likely the only one if I want to buy a Kramer guitar because I know a fair bit of the members here and can trust them. That's something thats tough to find.

Low-Balling on the web is easier because seller and buyer most of the times dont meet each other face to face.

But most of the times after some negotiation you can reach a win-win deal.

Its part of the game i guess, no problems with that
