Hi guitargod, welcome to KF.
There is a "preview" button, so you can see the post before you push "submit". Use the "Image" button to upload pics via the photobucket-link. That should cure the fails.![]()

Cool Honeymooner graphic![]()
thanks so far for your help, forgot to mention graphic is dated 85 as is neck pocket so can't be 86-87 (got 3 86 rettas and a 87 with different neck plates too)very heavy so i presume maple body (like my 84-85 rettas) maybe had a neck change ??? ive got a few Kramers so i need as much help to identify em.Im sure we will with all your help.thanks again
Body is definitely an '85, neck looks maybe an '86 though. It's a nice guitar. Definitely not late enough to be an '87...I have an '87 and they're in the E serial range, so are most of the 86's. You got a transitional neck on there too when they switched from bananas to pointies. I'd say '85 is a good call on it through and through.

Maybe an 85 with a replaced neck or the graphic was done in 85. As far as I know there were no 85 pointies. They switched from nana to pointy in 86.
I've seen that graphic before, but I don't remember where or the origin of it. It's an unusual one for sure with the tranny neck. If that is a late D plate, it's very possible it's legit, but I've never seen a tranny on a D plate....and that is not to say it's not legit, just the first time and I've been researching the tranny necks for about 4 or 5 years now.![]()

serial number says D2658 if that will help![]()
There we go.

I'm guessing it's a replacement neck because no way an 85 had a pointy.
Or WOOF :happy1
Who really knows on the odd balls![]()
so decision time ???? do i put a 84/85 neck on or leave the tranny neck on...?![]()
Personally, I'd leave the neck alone...that serial number would be very late 85 and that neck is very early 86 so in the world of Kramer, it's possible they go together.

+1 if theres no extra set of holes in the heel, leave it be.
+1 on what Pop said, very possible.
I've only ever seen that graphic on the VK site.
Looks very well preserved.
