Cool Craigslist hot red candy focus 6000

I think I am going to need to attend Kramers anonymous. Here's the CL focus 6000 i picked up yesterday right after leaving the job. It came with the peavy audition 20 amp, I probably get rid of it next month after I complete apt. move. And yeah i know it's going to need some work, definitely getting rid of the trem arm.

No doubt about it, definitely have my work cut out for me with this one. It's worth it. I will probably put an extra toggle switch on it to split the humbucker to single coil in the bridge. Is there a forum on cleaning corrosion on the pickups, the floyd rose trem and locknut? Thanks.

Why do not get a push-pull pot to do the job? It will prevent of the body. Just my 2 cents...

LOL!!! Yes, indeed. I am hoping a nice soaking in oil or WD will bring the FR trem back to functionality as I work on the body and electronics to resurrect this focus back to life.

Hmmm, didn't think about that, but I will definitely take it under advisement. I got the idea to add another toggle for coil split from the Pacer model which I think the Focus 6000 was modeled after...

It was painstaking, but I just finished this Kramer CAR focus 6000 clean up. I am bushed right now and will get the floyd rose on guitar tomorrow and hopefully post pics of the lovely CAR focus 6000. I might possiby end up replacing the bridge pickup at some point.

If you replace the bridge pup just replace the toggle with a 3-way to split it, don't

    That's a nice 6000.

That's a great idea, I will definitely check into a three way toggle switch.

I used WD-40, 3-in-one oil with a toothbrush as not to scratch and after Eagle One Original Nevr-Dull which you can pick up at your local Wal-mart auto section. And the rest is a lot of elbow grease.

It was well worth! I have heard it stated on a couple of posts somewhere that when you put the work in bringing an axe back to life, a bond is developed with that instrument and I have found that to be true. I love my CAR focus 6000!
