    Default Ever wonder..........

...if some people here ARE really "some one"?

Like if EVH had an alias here and popped in from time to time and read all the shit about how "his" guitar was for sale here or what ever?

I'm sure he's a busy guy and doesn't have time for that but still........(cue twilite zone music)

We have a few celebs on here believe or not. Vinny for example was the Cowboy in the Village People....before he got known for being Richard Simmons' private cook.

Pros and celebs can be Internet nerds just like the rest of us, so I'm sure they frequent certain sites/forums from time to time. The anonymity factor is probably something that is a very nice escape for some of them. I know others are fine with sharing their identity, but I'm sure the really famous ones would probably not do so for obvious reasons.

There are some metal forums on another site that I used to check out years ago where some of the pros have their own forums and are active posters. One of my favorite guitarists, James Murphy, has a forum there. I had a chance to chat with him on AIM a couple of times in the past. He was really cool and friendly. He sent me some pics of his home studio, some other pics from his parents house, and a couple of tracks he was mixing for Daath's second album at the time on his own accord so that I could check them out.

I realize that probably a lot of you may have no idea who he is, but in the world of death metal he's one of the best. To have a chance to interact with one of my guitar heroes and to discover that he's a nice person was a great experience.

So yeah, they're around whether we know they are or not.

It's true, lots of 'celebs' admit to googling their own name constantly and visiting forums because they want to see what everyone thinks of them. They admit to being shallow lol

    Guys,

I'll be honest here. And no...I'm not on drugs. Today.

I think that everyone here IS someone. Everyone here to me is famous. We are the guys of the KF.

I mean where else can you talk directly with guys from the factories...guys that worked on and built the famous guitars....Guys who bang goats while skydiving.....

All joking aside, I suspect we have a few here and I've known that for some years now....but I will never say who. One that did come out is an Actor that collects some really nice custom painted guitars...he has a nice resume' to include "Lost" if I recall.
