a lot of people have been asking about the account that is to be set up at BBVA Compass Bank for Shane's boys. All the funds will be put in a 529 plan for their education. The account will be available tomorrow. I have been told you can go in any branch and ask to donate to the account for the "McMeans Family". I should have the actual account number tomorrow

Lisa, if you could provide information on the other accounts being set up for the boys when it becomes available, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
UPDATE: I just wanted you to know that the service was beautiful. The white spray of flowers from the forum was lovely and is now at the gravesite. There was also a blue hydrangea from you guys, and you may not know this but that is Shane's favorite plant. Didi took it to their home and we will try to plant it there. I cannot even begin to tell you what this meant to my family. When you hug your loved ones, please know that we felt that for Shane through your caring thoughtfulness. The account for his sons has been set up and the information is now on Shaneslog. I am forever grateful. Lisa

Sad news, I didn't check up on the situation for a while and come on here and read this.

RIP Shane, where ever you are. Thoughts go out to his family, can't imagine what they are going through but his wife sounds like a very strong woman and I am sure they will pull through. Tragic that such a cool guy had to leave so early. I remember reading how he took his son to a concert, even though he was ill. Even with all that he had he had a great sense of humour. A guy to look up to.

    Lisa and Shane

This was our last picture together in August 2011. This was Shane's second year to attend a Braves game and view it from a sky box room in comfort. They treated him like royalty. You can't tell from the picture but he had just had a chemo treatment 2 days earlier, and was feeling pretty crappy. Yep, that's the way he rolled.

I think you heard the story of Shane's visit to Duke for his son Cooper's SAT score. Here is the fam.

Will do guys. It's been 2 weeks today. Night time is hard for me for some reason. Reading and sharing here is like a therapy. Didi gave me Shane's log-in so I could look at his stuff. Printed a few threads today for his boys to have one day.
