Flat, Let me preface this with saying that I have said that I like what I have heard you post and that you are very proficient in technical playing.....this piece to me really sounds more like a sweeping exercise than actual music.
heres a piece of a classical sounding song im working on. and another clever (imo) post title!

HA! but i just down pick fast and its not swept!
at least not all of it!
I know it seems like an exercise but hopefully when im done it wont. thats what id like at least. I know for the video im just using a lot of arpeggios and the last ones really are an exercise i do, but they are semi-outlining what i intend on playing. The beginning arpeggios are staying as well as the second set that arent a sweep pattern but afterwards i intend on something different its just that i dont know what...pedal point? its gonna be in there somewhere i feel. Maybe a bit of inspiration is needed. maybe some suggestion as well to help me not sound like an arpeggio machine?

Maybe it just needs some really cool backing rhythm. The first verse is a little repetitive....I lke the bridge which I believe was an ascending diminished thing. And for the record if you are playing an arpeggio with all downstrokes that is a sweep....lol![]()
a sweep is a sweep is a sweep......now shut up and play![]()
