hahahahaha i love the one with the holes drillled. so good. the mortal combat one isnt terrible...not good, but atleast its a fun game. The clubfoot had to have been a break and make due. if not that is the wildest most ridiculous idea i have ever seen. ... i have those ideas too... but they stay ideas..

Alas I've seen more than my fair share of Kramers that have been screwed by their owners. It's their God given right to take a perfectly good guitar and tear it to pieces in the name of modification!

I have a Baretta body on the way that was stripped, a neck humbucker route installed, you might have seen it on Ebay recently. There is also a Kramer R5 banana neck on the way, the body is for a custom graphic and to be rebuilt to add to my permanent collection of 'beaters' that I have rescued from death and beyond.

Botched repairs are great, I love them! Floyds that have been mangled, sweat, blood, bodily fluids, you name it and I've found it under the saddles to the shim and spring that rest above the sustain block. It's disgusting so remember to wipe your Floyds down after going for it!

Charvels that had botched wiring, EMGs that someone took their first soldering lesson inside the wiring cavity, I need to post some pictures or at least a new web site so you can see the horrors, it makes you wonder whether it's worth carrying on to be honest. I only do this sort of thing as and when I can due to ahem.. health issues however it's still shocking to see what turns up in the sea of discontent or rather when an owner gets bored and decides to mod their guitar..

    Best wishes,

    Rob

I will admit. I mod my guitars and sometimes it ends up in tears. However, usually when i'm modding it's on bits and pieces i've bought not on whole healthy guitars. I also love to rescue worn out dead things i find in pawnshops.

Maybe we could start another thread called "Kramer (or other) Resurrections" with mangled before pics, and prettier after pics? or is there enough of that floating around?

    Hey man...don't forget the JS.
Sometimes you make a statement, and some bonehead comes in and references something that you aren't even talking about - I love that.

This is what happens when you get a guitar, a drill press, and beer for Christmas. Maybe it was too heavy and had too much tone, so he "fixed" it. What I really like is that he used tape to keep the wood from splitting.

I wish there was some way this thread could get smaller instead of bigger damn shame what some people do to instruments that by all rights don't deserve it... but i guess everyone has a stage like that.

I have to get pictures but a friend of mine sold his pre lawsuit ESP Explorer to a guy trying to make it.

2 years later pictures have popped up of it sans neck pickup and refinished in neon green duct tape...
    FIREMAN Ibanez FRM-100... that's it that's all i'm playing
Mr. Blue sky (1996 BLUE Ibanez Iceman- stock)
Doc Brown (schaller floyd + mighty mite single hum body + hosono USA neck)
The Beast (1989 Ibanez RG 560 w/paul gilbert injectors at neck and middle, tone zone at bridge)
The Slab (1984 Ibanez Roadstar RS240 - dead stock and minty)
I sold my focus 2k... sorry guys.
