    Default Too many non-posters

What's with that? Lot's of looks. Forget about me. 7000+ members. We need new blood. I know I'm full of it. Look all you want. Posting keeps a forum alive.

I'll be brave and say I'm guilty! I read almost everything and rarely say sh*t. Good call Fett!

im a little guilty, going on 4 months since I joined and 20 something posts. i feel i could post a little more. I have also never officially introduced myself so here it is. My name is Nick Jensen, im 21 years old living in beautiful san diego, CA. I bought an old mid 80's overseas plybody kramer about 5 years ago from a friend for $20 that, since i've owned it, has become many projects over the years. I absolutely love the guitar and joined this forum to learn a little more about Kramers to help make another kramer purchase sometime in the future.

I'm definitely gonna post more and ask more questions

It does say something about the leading role in Kramer world the KF has...even non posters take the trouble to become member, just in case they DO wanna post. I think if you look at the log registry, you would find many people logging in just looking and learning without posting. I don't think it's a bad thing, and I've seen many people come and go...having been here from the start. I never was on EZboard though, Remy pulled me in together with hosting the first EurExpo in '05

Some people like to read, and some like to make fett posts . For the first few months or so i didn't make any posts. The people that don't post much are just learning about kramers from those that post often.

Do banned members count in that 7000?
If they do, at least half of them has to be posters asking what their guitars are worth and wanting to sell

    Actually it's 8000+...

I have been a member here for longer than I have been a more-or-less "regular" poster... For a while, I was lurking around and learning stuff. Also, I have never felt pressured to post just for the sake of jacking up my post count.

Of course, we have many knowledgeable senior members with thousands of posts, and I respect them.

I agree with the assumption that many non-posters are flippers, but there's not much you can do about it.

    unlike me

People like Dr Robert and Ace have a significantly lower post count as they again unlike me, read threads in their entirity and make one useful/significant comment in a thread.

But then again when either of them post, its usually pure genious anyway

Better to have 1K usefull posts that 4K of well whatever comes out of my mouth

Default I like to see different posters

Yet, nothing can be done about that!

Most people on the Web are there to read other people's comments. Nothing wrong with that. I would like to see more participation.

I just joined a couple of weeks ago. There is a lot to take in here, A lot of good solid information which is very helpful to someone who wants to learn about these great guitars. I'll do more reading than posting for now, but will participate more when I learn more about them. This is a great forum and I'm glad I joined.

I had a Kramer come out of pawn and needed info on it so google brought me here. I joined up and became addicted to the guitar info. Next think you know that Christmas my girlfriend bought me a Kramer as a surprise It was over a year before I had my first post. It was more of a year of figuring out to myself "hey, these guys aren't half bad" :happy1

I've grown to love these forums and the spirit of good Karma everyone believes in here. I have enjoyed all the guitar talk, without ego's. Let's not forget all who have helped my Kramer Kollection grow and grow :happy1 Great people, cool attitude, and the love of all things Kramer.

So you lurkers out there are more then welcome to stop by and read our krazy ass posts and feel the love :happy1

Allot of people join the forum to sell their guitar.
Once they have gotten their 20 posts in and gain
access to the Klassified section, they leave when
nobody buys their junk at twice the going rate.

Then there are those that are shy about posting.
Perhaps they are worried about having someone
pounce all over them like what happens on allot of
    other forums.

Everyone has something to contribute. The diversity
of our membership and the general laid back non-threatening
atmosphere is what makes this forum the novelty that it is.

Any member should feel free to participate in the discussion.
Most often it is the newer members that have a unique
perspective on the subject at hand.
I ain't hiding from nobody, nobody's hiding from me.

Serial lurker here! I am a member of a couple of forums with lots of veteran members. My problem is the questions I'm qualified to answer are usually answered long before I get a crack at them!

In case we haven't met, I'm Ray, 40ish , lefty, with an '87 F1000 bought new.

i agree wtih tommy. would be great to hear from everyone.. would be pretty amazing actually.

and ray, even if someone has already posted the answer, most ppl just post "i agree" or "+1" after that. how do you think some of the members here got so many posts?! the thing is participate...

slowly ppl will start to know you. besides, there's always another angle at the same problem or question that you can contribute to answer
