    Default DMZ6000 Wiring and Preamp

I recently purchased a late '70's/Ear;y '80's DMZ6000 but someone replaced the original pots and bypassed the preamp. A friend tested the preamp and claims it is not working. I would like to get a wiring diagram and a preamp if possible. If anyone can help I'd aprreciate it.

check out the baretta wiring on the first page. but if you want to coil tap it, you will have to either drill another hole for a mini toggle switch or use a push pull pot/knob. it's best for you to take it to a tech. to do it.

For a Proaxe deluxe, I just solder the red and whites together on the single coils? Only the humbucker is coil tapped also? I just got mine shipped, and Im putting in the origional trembucker, and 2 duncan hotrails because the previous owner changed all the pickups in it.

Hey, I recently picked up an 86 Pacer Delux. I viewed the wiring diagram for it but I have a question on the coil tap 3-way switch. Soes one position shut off the humbucker completely, another position is single coil and the 3rd position full humbucker? One of the tone knobs is also not working and I want to get all of the wiring right.

First position should be serial (full humbucker), second is parallel and third is single coil. Going from top to bottom.

I saw that the question was asked but I did not see a direct reply. The 86' pacer... the same diagram as the F3000? When I opened mine up it looked to be wired a bit differently.

should be the same, if the f3000 also has a coil tap. sometimes the focus 3000s (earlier ones?) don't come with coil tap.

Looks like the Schaller Neck is completely different from the Bridge.
Trying to suss out an HSH setup for a member here with parallel/series
    on both humbuckers.
Works fine on the Bridge using the diagram from the Stew-Mac site, but would not work on the neck.

    It would short!

So looking very closely the white and green are tied together right at the pickup.
Guess we are going to end up with a useless mini switch for the neck pup.

    Look:

Hi guys, a question from me--and it's related to Cyg's post. Schaller actually changed their color codes and wiring schema in the early 90s.
Most diagrams on VK for Schallers are actually drawn according to the "new" color codes and don't apply to vintage Schallers.

    "New" Schaller:
    Yellow: Hot
    Green/Bare: Ground
    White/Brown: Tap

    "Old" Schaller:
    Yellow/Brown: Hot
    Green/White/Bare: Ground

My question is, what is the deal with how vintage Schallers were wired? Is it wired in parallel or something? And how can I tap a vintage Schaller? I used to know this, but it's been awhile.
    Thanks!

P.S. That's the culprit in Dr Robert's diagram above. The wiring is correct, but this diagram has one "old" pickup and one "new"!

Vintage does look like its parallel.
If the windings/colors are the same then should tap the same way. Need to use a meter to find out.

yep. break out the meter and go to town.

should just take a few minutes to narrow it down.
