You are correct. I measured the DC resistance with my Digital Multimeter a few days ago and it measure to be 8.3 ohms. Close enought to the 8.5...it's 25 years old after all and it is very much the same as a vintage PAF or SD59...probably more like a Seth because it is unpotted...no wax.

Andy is one of the head honchos for Floyd, not Schaller
The old Schaller pups were about 9 kOhm, but sounded quite a bit hotter than a regular PAF. The new ones are higher output from what I know, besides that they cost a little fortune - you can get a set of Duncans for one of the current Schaller pups. At least here in Germany, dunno what the prices are like elsewhere.

"We look forward to headlines about record cold temperatures during the December climate summit, and to hearing desperate speeches about stopping irresistible global warming during the signing ceremony, held during a blizzard."
I thought the schallers were supposed to sound like the Custom Custom, not the Custom? And being a ceramic pickup they're bound to sound alot hotter than what they measure at 8,3kOhm![]()

I have alot of guitars and I keep going back to my pacer imp and its mostly because of those damn shaller pickups. They sound fantastic!
As for the 2 in 1s, I have a pacer special with one of those, and it really nails the brown sound.
