I'm using a thin Dunlop nylon here lately but it changes with my mood I guess. When I shred bass, its with a medium ( I use fingers mostly).

As I'm mostly a bassist I use my fingers, but on guitar on use a heavy pick ,sometimes medium.

I voted heavy but in all honesty, I've been using Fender EXTRA HEAVY pics for a long, long time.

I used to have a silver dollar that someone carved into a pick but someone stole it from me.
It was awesome and the harmonics that you could with it were incredible.

I like the Everly's with the star hole in them, easy to hang on to. They have to be thick so ya can wack the crap out of the strings. :lol

Shoulda put the poll in Guages format instead of 'medium' 'heavy' because I'm not really certain if .96 is medium or heavy. Hehe.
I used .96 gator grips for years. Now I've fallen in love with .96 Ultex.
Ultex picks, Ernie Ball regular slinkies 10-46, and Levy's straps.. :headbang

I use Dunlop Gator Grip (Medium) 0.71 mm guitar picks exclusively for electric guitar. :headbang
When playing the bass though, I do not use any picks.

I pick my nose with a dunlop .80 :D
No really I found some picks I liked in the mid eighties and bought a bag of them and am still using them. They are dunlop mediums I believe. The dark orange ones.... Well thats the color they are now anyway! :D
And I never used a pick on bass either until I did my ripped songs. Thats the only way I could keep up while intoxicated....

Guys, you gotta try some of the Cool Picks. I forgot who they are made by but the thins are lkie a regular heavy. They take a bit getting used to but they are slightly smaller than a dunlop but i love them. a slightly pointed end for shreading and i get great articulation out of them, give um a try! :thumbsup

I was a die hard dunlop jazz 3 user for a long long time but one day I just totally switched to the tortex .84mm (the green ones)
I was able to bust my chops better with these.
Although, I do go threw them a lot faster.
