Jeff, I think you're stuck with red on the white/red bullseyes. They order specific amounts for each design so I'm sure they can't do swaps?

factory pics rock.
I see they have strap locks there to. Did they always (back in the day) sell the guitar with the strap locks? :headbang

Did they always (back in the day) sell the guitar with the strap locks? That was back before strap locks were invented! :D
Seriously. Strap locks were a piece of leather that was screwed to the quitar and then wrapped both sides of the strap. I still have one somewhere.
I think the schallers showed up first around 84 or 85.
At least this is the way I remember it. It was the 80s :bong

Humm I never seen the leather ones. Me and the guitar didnt meet untill 87 or so :D
I do like the schallers ones over the ones that go into the strap button ( can't think of the brand name?)
Thats the kind that I have on my gunslinger and every now and then they will pop out :evil

I think they made the full on switch to Strap Locks around mid-84, or somewhere there abouts.

I had a strap with a kind of locking on it got it about 1989 it says Sure-Lock on the strap sadly the plastic locks are both busted. Never seen another one like it since don't think it really took off

Tom, I feel your pain. I got the GAS for one of those too but I have seen too much old gold in the past to go for it. Nice to look at when it's new but it doesn't take long to show the wear.

That's pretty freaking cool. There's my LP in the rack with the shipping info tucked under the strings waiting to go. Right next to one of the Jersey stars that will also get a shipping paper tucked away for the trip to my house. :)

Those would be Jim Dunlop "Original Straplok" I don't like them either...they seem to stick out too far on the body :scratchhe

On the JS's there is one guitar wit black pick-up mounting rings. All the others have gold. Plus its just the middle and bridge pick-ups. Anyone catch that? Weird
