It might be a tad off here and there but it´s a very nice axe. I like it, tho I´m not especially fond of those polka dot finishes.

It was an interesting video. Other than collecters though, I can't see them selling 25 of these. Let's face it, it's not going to be cheap and there is really no demand for a shredder reverse neck with an R1 nut. For me, this is basically a spendy piece of wall art.
I do however think it's cool they are doing it, but most guys these guys will say, "Who the hell is Vivian C."?

Well, the fact that there's a Kramer Forum is evidence us 80s guys aren't all dead, LOL!
I'd be a buyer if I were a single guy, nuff said there. My guess is five grand at the very least, but I got a feeling it will be quite a bit more than that.
Oh well, I got my K2!:)
I love how in the video he's looking like, "quit wanking for a minute Viv, I'm talking about the guitar here!"

I'd love to have one, but I bet the price is going to be through the roof.

You just posted this to rub salt in my wounds :nono
Still ticked my stupid bank blocked me from getting that one on the bay :arrg
I don't think I could afford this one though.

Mmmm, $900.00 Floyd Rose, pass. I think 25 is the right number, I don't think they could sell too many of these. 50 would be way too many, 25 seems do-able though, just. I think the price will probably be about $6,000.

Well regardless of the price, I think its kinda cool. Its neat to see Vivian re-embrace the 80's thing a little. I know he's a Les Paul guy, but cmon, what is he really remembered for? That guitar shred guy in Dio and Whitesnake (even though he really wasn't involved in the Whitesnake writing process).
As evidenced by the popularity of the Swan on this forum and among collectors, i think there will be a demand for this, expensive or not.
Anyway, I'm happy they're doing this.

i gotta go with a no sell on many of them. at least, i cant see anyone on this forum buying one at a high price, even the few spendy collectors. maybe not 6, i didnt watch the link yet, but if its a swan with a titanium floyd, id say the price would be maybe 4 tops? i think they have to figure not many would move at 6 gs, plus most places making artist endorsed axes of that style are in the 3ish range (ie:demartini charvel), no titanium. thats leaving out the 2 high dollar artist endorsed axe companies, gibson and fender. and look what happened to the limited ed replicas fender made selling at high dollar. the prices went down the shitter. and eds much more popular than vivian campbell. hell, most people today dont even know who he is unless theyre over 35 or 40......

Its gonna be expensive, within the 5k$ range,at least this is how much Phil Collen's special edition axes sell(kinda wish to) and i dont think that Phil is more famous than Viv.

Glad to see a revamp of the nightswan. The titanium floyds are amazing, and being that they are $900 alone, the guitar will be between 5-6k IMO.

I kind of got excited when I saw this post but when I saw the guitar with the wrong headstock shape and body I quickly changed my mind:-| Even if this guitar was $1000 or $2000 dollars I probably still wouldn't hit it as it looks wrong and nothing like the original that he built for him in the 80's. I don't mean to sound negative but it is JMHO. Sometimes I cannot see the logic in itroducing a guitar that you made for an artist and then can't replicate it ? it's not as if he's taking on someone else's work he made the damn thing in the beginning.... kinda has me stumped :scratchhe

RE: the titanium floyd, I kind of got the impression from what was said (and shown) that not all of the 25 will have the titanium floyd, i.e. Buddy says "this is the one with the titanium floyd" - the first one that comes out the case and that Buddy is sitting with for the latter part of the video has a standard black floyd on it. Maybe we are looking at a couple of different price points here? One (or several) with titanium trem, the rest with standard ones?
Personally, I really like these - it would explain why Buddy stopped doing the all-over polka dot graphic a while ago (saving that paint scheme for these limited guitars).

I do think my initial guess was a bit high - 4k is likely much closer to the mark. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

his guitars are a hard sale on ebay at 1700, the only difference is the floyd. its 900, and dealer/manufacturer cost is less than that. thats 2600, add a bit for vivian to get his cut, sorry but i dont think he will be asking 5 or 6 g's, hes going to want to sell them, not have them sit there looking at him. i could be wrong, time will tell.

Not a lot of people outside the shredder community (and even inside) have really had much exposure to BB guitars, and there aren't any big acts outside Sugarland and DL that use them. I have one of his K2 handmades and it plays like butter.
I traded my NS straight up for it, and I had 900 in that.
I think as word gets out, you may have more people buying them.

I think it sounds great but in my mind this is just another failure from a guitar builder. only 25 made? They will most likely be un affordable by the general consumer. And even if they were affordable, 25 is hardly enough to get the guitar community buzzing about your brand. After the 25 are gone your left with the overpriced K2s that people don't seem to care about. He should have made a complete run of these with normal components so that ppl could buy them and start a buzz about BB guitars
The last thing he put out, that Bolt ML, ended up selling for 299 on Mf

Shit Jackson puts out the mass produced PC1, from the good guitar payer in Def Leppard, and even it is waaaaay overpriced. IMO.

I don't really get Campbell's involvement, if he never intends to play that style of guitar. TT

I think Viv is what put Buddy on the map back during the whitesnake days.
And only older folks, who where Whitesnake fans from the 80's, would have the dollars to buy one of these.
If you got some newer band to endorse Buddy, none of their fans, teenagers, could afford the guitars.
It was that way in the 80's when I was a teenager. couldnt affored the guitars now that I can, I have a bunch of old Kramers and Charvels that I couldnt afford back in the day

The import line, don't mind the asking prices on the bay, those can be had around the middle LTD/Schecter range. Problem is, you're not going to see them at Guitar Sinner where most of the little punks hang out.
One big name endorser could put him on the map. That's kind of what happened with Orange County Drum and Percussion. I visited their shop when they were a single bay in a little industrial strip mall, back around 2000.

I guess im still living in the past too much and out of touch with reality, but who are big name endorsers these days? I really dont know of any good bands these days. Except like Steel Panther, but then agian, I think they are really only popular among the older crowds.

Basically like Avenged Sevenfold and their ilk. Amazingly, Slipknot and Korn still seem to be relevant.
As far as GOOD bands that are popular... Foo Fighters.
Unfortunately, the rest of them just enjoy their quiet little following of people who appreciate real music. You know, like Dream Theater kinda stuff. They sell out everywhere and yet never--and I mean NEVER--get heard on rock radio. Or seen on TV. If you weren't into them, you literally wouldn't know they were there.

$900 Titanium Floyd????..... I wish my ears were good enough to appreciate the difference between one of those and the modded floyds I use (bigger brass block).
ouch.......

I to am older and have purchased the guitars that I could not afford in the 80's but really, who would you want to endorse a guitar model? There may be many because I am so out of touch with what is new but I do know that I have not heard anything new that is very impressive but then again it may take a lot more to stand out today.
Viv with Buddy is great but what about Rand?

Rand Havener has been out of the loop for a long time. He was going to put together some NOS guitars before the economy took a plunge in 2008, but has since did nothing.

:thumbsup You got that right. But the paradoxon is, if it got your name on the headstock you´d be a famous rockstar and they´d be more than happy to give you a truckload for free to play them, so that the sales figures rise. :D:D:D
