Hello guys, nice to join this little corner of the innerwebs! I've been lurking for while, so be gentle.
I've been a Kramer fan for quite some time, and owned a pair of Baretta's in the past...but haven't even come across one in years.
Fast forward to the other day, a buddy tells me he has a junk guitar he doesn't want sitting around....which I gladly took custody of!
Serial # F5307
I understand this to be an early 1987 Pacer Custom I, am I correct? It's a Schaller OFR, and tuning machines....painted VIOLET. Was this a custom color? I know it is a factory color, but the 1987 catalog doesn't list it as a stock option.
The body has some nicks and bruises, but it's otherwise 100% complete, factory and straight! All switches, coiltap and wiring is all original.
I've got it taken mostly apart, I'll post some images when I get home this evening.

Welcome and congrats on the find....post some pics and I guarantee you will find out what it is ....and isnt:D
I bet you will have another headstock in your house besides this one that says Kramer within three months from now:thumbsup

Headstock is the diminishing logo...gold on black. Says "Kramer American", identically spec'd to the image in the '87 catalog.
But you're right, suprised I shall not be when all the details are on the table. Is that the mantra around here? :D

Ha, well to be fair he doesn't really know anything about guitars. Hence him calling me to look at it. He must've figured it was nicked up, so it wasn't worth much to anyone. He somehow missed the look on my face when he brought it to me. :yikes:
I calmly said, "sure I'll take it......i guess."

That sounds more like a late '88 or '89 to me if it's an F plate. I have an E12XXX which is an '87, so that doesn't make much sense to me if you're saying it's an "early '87". Regardless....pictures are required if you truly want us to ID it. ;)

Everything looks correct...possibly a firesale model since there were no holes drilled for the tremsetter on the rear cavity.
