I have never seen a Yo plate like that! They were Samick made and the serial should begin with "S".

Well if this follows the normal "K" number system what the Squiers did in the late 90s...that would be made in Korea in either the Cort or Sunghan factories. Definitely not a Yo plate we've seen before..maybe it was replaced or done at the factory last second or by accident.

I guess it could be. But why would you copy a Yo Kramer?:scratchhe No offense. It's a decent guitar for the money but it's not worth the effort to copy. I've not seen a neckplate like that but I haven't seen that many Yo neckplates.
The headstock, pickups and everything else look right to be a Yo Striker.

Perhaps YO changed its production lines at some point.

My, how times have changed from a couple decades ago. Never thought I'd hear someone ask "Wow, is that a genuine KOREAN made instrument?"

That's funny cause I just got scammed on eBay by a fake chineese phone memory card. It had the print on sideways and it would only work in a computer...sometimes. :chainsaw:evilrobot
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it was. They will copy anything... There must not be any kind of law to stop them from doing that.

China does not recognize any copy rights or patents.
Open for any kind of business over there. :poke

Not true, they do have copy right protection. They just don't recognize copy rights outside of China.

Yeah i figured. I was watching some show a while back where they were going to flee markets and busting people trying to sell knockoffs. I'm just suprized eBay hasn't had somesort of screening for theses kinds of things.
I really thought I was buying a legit item. Everything down to the adapter and case was fake. It was even a stock photo they used...:-x
Lesson learned... Don't buy new stuff from hong kong:thumbsup
