She comes with the Gibson 91T pickup.
Just tested her and she's a killer player.
Do not really like the sound, too dark and fuzzy, but I'm not gonna swap the pup un this one as I'd like to keep her all original.
Thanks for props. :thumbsup

Same pup in my JS its ok but needs some playing around with the EQ to get teh best out of it. Trouble is I spend more time tweeking the tone that playing so I don't touch it that often

Dark and fuzzy? A 91T in MAPLE? Really?

Me thinks you need to EQ yourself a little there.

Yes, I tested her with same setup as used with my other 85 Reissue and the sound is really different. Expecially on lower strings...

Another great guitar finds a new home in Italy :)

Not a fan of that graphic, but then its not my guitar, but an '85 reissue in any finish is always a good buy :)

Yeah, she looks even better in person than in pics.
The graphic is stunning, it has kind a very nice 3-D effect and the flake blue is really good looking.
Great work by Bo. :thumbsup

Congrats, Stefano. That's probably my favorite graphic of all the limited edition '85 RI series.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who isn't a big fan of the 91T, though. I just do not like the way it sounds through my setup (which is one factor in why I'm selling - hopefully soon :whistle - my own '85 RI). It's just too...hard to put into words...flat, dense, and dry as opposed to the wonderfully airy, 3 dimensional yet powerful tone I get with any of my other guitars with my setup. Even if I might be able to get a better sound if I perhaps tweak a bunch of settings on my floor preamp, amp, and EQ pedal, why would I want to when for every one of my other guitars (various Focii and an Epiphone Dot) the only thing I ever need to tweak is the bass on my amp (and even that is only by about 10 to 20 percent). It just doesn't make sense to me, especially with the need to switch guitars quickly and efficiently in a live setting, to use a pickup that requires so much monkeying with settings!

All of that said, I wouldn't refuse the opportunity to perhaps "store" that blue beauty for you since I'm sure you don't need another guitar cluttering things up your place! ;) :lol

IMHO it's a fantastic player guitar.

Before you sell it, put a Screamin Demon in it. Those pickups are made for maple, and I think you'll really dig the tone out of it with that pickup.

I'm not a huge fan of the 91T myself in maple, but for opposite reasons. Both my Jersey Star and my 85 reissue weren't compressed enough, and were/are bright and trill due to the maple and the JB clone of the 91T. I never got a chance to put a Demon on my Jersey Star (now sold), and I won't replace the pickup in my number 1 off the line Baretta Reissue, so.... but I have used a Demon in another maple bodied guitar, and its thick, chunky, and extremely responsive to the brightness of maple.

Congrats, Stefano. That's probably my favorite graphic of all the limited edition '85 RI series.

Why just don't swap the pickup on your Reissue instead of selling it?
IMHO it's a fantastic player guitar.

Several reasons:

1. Yes, it's clearly a well put together, quality made guitar, but it's so different in feel (thinner neck, body weighs a ton) than any of my other guitars that it just doesn't feel "right" to me. That said, had I been playing similar guitars for most of my life, then it would be the lighter, chunkier neck profile Focii that I probably wouldn't like.

2. I should never have bought it in the first place - spent money I didn't have (credit card) and paid as much as three of my Focii would cost me. I'm selling it for about 2/3rds of what I paid because I could really use the $$ now, and because I'd rather it get played by someone else than sit looking great but untouched as it is now! :)

3. Trying other pickups would involve spending more $$ (see #2 above) :D

Oh my, that's one sexy beast!!! I love the blue!! The only thing I would change is the bar attachment on the Floyd. I prefer the old type that doesn't easily screw off because I think it performs better but that's just me. I hope you play this guitar because it shouldn't just sit and look pretty. Cheers!!

I have a reissue Baretta, and felt the same way about the pup. I threw in a Duncan Screamin Demon, and the guitar woke up! Great bright tones, clear, articulate, I would recommend trying it out if you can:thumbsup

A fantastic looking guitar - nice score! Definitely would not mind one of those myself. Where do those other 10 live....? :D
