It looks like Satchel is using a chrome DTuna on the E string of his black Floyd. However, it also appears that there is a chrome saddle on the A string.
Does that make sense to anyone? I don't know why there would be a chrome saddle on the A string.
Thanks!

Simple to me. Needed to replace a saddle, looking for a black one, couldn't find one nearby, got a chrome one. :D

I just saw them nov 1st. It was awesome, two people got married on stage and satchel was saying stuff like "it's not too late to back out, man" & "he's gonna fuck all your friends." But I didn't once notice him use the d-tuna. Why even bother having it? none of the songs were in drop D. Also the pacer was all white with black hardware. I don't think it was the pacer classic, but it might have been.
None of the above information was solicited.

benger they do a lot of cover songs so I imagine its for the rare song in the set that uses it, probably Unchained or something.

Actually George Lynch did this a lot. He was known to change out his saddles for one of a different color. I've seen guys on line teaching Lynch that did it probably as some kind of tribute...
"Eatin ain't cheatin" is in dropped D. I'm about to post a lesson on this song within the week. It's my favorite riff almost of all time....

The one silver saddle is a tribute to Steve Vai and his original green meenie.

I posted a few weeks back saying how awesome this riff was (obviously Unchained inspired).. and the tone is orgasmic.... but no one seemed to agree.

That is great! I would really like to see more tutorials on how to play Steel Panther songs. All I have ever seen is Death To All But Metal. I'd also like to see how to play the solo for The Shocker. The verse and chorus are just power chords for that song.

I actually tabbed out the intro solo to Fat Girl days ago, added it to UG site, but it doesn't seem to be working... it's just coming up as this saying I've not made a contribution.

I'm not sure but that is another one I'm working on lessons for. They should be on YouTube by the first of next week.
Have you all heard the new song critter??

Are they just playing it live right now? I've seen youtube footage of it and have to admit it hasn't grown on me yet.
Looking forward to your lessons, though!

The new material has not been release yet. It will be hopefully early next year. Before feel the steel they were playing Asian hooker live only two months before the released.
I plan to do lots of lessons...some Steel panther but lots of 80's hair metal riffs/licks/and solos. I'll let you know when they're on YouTube.

Great lesson, super simple, super awesome.
I can't wait to try that later tonight...it seems clear enough to me. And if you felt like doing a vid for "stripper girl" I wouldn't complain :)
