Just picked up this 1000.

Looks like an early 1000 with the non-slant hum. Seller took my offer of 230 on ebay, so I figured I'd give it a shot.

Yep, I figured for 230 what do I have to lose. I don't have a Focus in the collection anyway, that one looks pretty clean. I have a Baretta so this one is a value add.

Ebay has them, mine was $12 shipped. You could also try your local shop, mine had them but sold out.

Thanks, I think I found a threaded bar on ebay for $12.95. Says it fits OFR's and licensed versions. Hopefully it fits.

File a non-performing seller complaint with eBay, then leave negative feedback and 0 stars after the transaction is completed.
File an item not received through PayPal.
You could also go for mail fraud/wire fraud if you want to really go after him. Whether or not your case qualifies I'm not sure.

I had this in my watch list but way too many red flags for me to bid on it.

I called ebay and paypal, they are both worthless. I knew more than they did. I asked him to refund in paypal, there is an option to refund from a recent payment. I will follow-up with a disputed transaction if he doesn't. I'm OK with not getting the guitar but it sucks my funds are being held up. I didn't leave feedback yet waiting to see if he refunds first.

Yes, I knew it was a risk because of his feedback of '3', but I took a chance and got burned. I probably would have contacted him first it was a USA Kramer. The other point is because of his low feedback he does not have access to the funds. It will only be released with feedback left or proof of delivery. So it's not like he is walking off with my cash. He won't get it. I opened a dispute on paypal, he has until Nov 29th to respond. If he refunds me first then it will be closed.
