Hey guys, while I'm more reader than writer here,I'd like to share my thoughts on my latest instrument.

First of all I'd like to say great support from guys there, awesome feedback.
I contacted them in times of NAMM preparation, and still they had time for me. Best regards to Leo Scala and GKG crew ;)

Instrument arrived a week ago and I took some time to play with it before writing this. Setup was perfect out of the box,so no troubles here. Quick tuning and it was ready to rock.

Great quality, perfect finish, looks like a 3000USD instrument. Very lightweight body I must say,and I find that very very cool.

Nuff 'bout looks, there are only best things I can say about playability of this guitar. Fast neck, low action-no buzz, stays in tune after some serious floyd damage. Sound is cool too, never ran into that good stock pickup but I'll replace it with this zebra JB i got laying around. Nothing against Gary Kramer pickup,I'll test it out in Les Paul also, but JB is pickup of my choice.
Tested it out trough 68' plexi and trainwreck express clone and it really rocks.

I usually play stratocasters(small collections, includes '68 and '71+new strats),got an LP and ESP and I must say that this week with GKG has changed my mind about new guitars. Lightweight AXE with perfectly contoured body and awesome playability wins against all others in my collection and becomes first choice for live shows.

I'd recommend GKG to any1 if they're looking for high quality instrument.
And I hope this review is useful for people considering buying GKG.

P.S. Will post some pictures too l8r

Best regards forum people,
Andy

It is a well-built axe and a great bang for the buck. I like mine too.

While I understand the joy over a new toy, no guitar in this price range can touch a $3k guitar, so saying such a thing is totally ridiculous :)

Didn't mean to say it's like a 3k guitar,it was expresion to talk about how well made it is ;)

That is so seriously not true. There's plenty of overpriced junk for $3K.

That is rather a rare exception though :) But whatever, I'll shut up now.

lets just go with Gary Kramer guitars are awesome, and can not be beat in the price range.

I've looked at a few 3k guitars but then realized my $100 dollar fingers would make it sound like a $300 guitar.

Having played a number of sub-$500 guitars, I'll have to second that. I haven't seen anything that makes me regret buying the Crusader Deluxe. I'd like to try out an Unk sometime, but otherwise, I'll stick with the GK.

I went on down to the studio for a jam session tonight and brought my Deluxe with me. GREAT guitar for it's price range!

Hey buddy, great review! I got a Custom 2 in vintage white some 6 months ago, and just fell in love with it. The guys at Musik Oevermann (the same place that Sergej (XXX) got his at) were really helpful and even helped me find a fitting case for it. It really does other Kramers and the name itself justice :)
I'd say money well spent, those in the USA can definitely grab a bargain, since the shipping there is free. However, the case is a little pricey for my liking, but hey...!

Huge difference man.....when playin' loud GKG Pickup was so "tiny" and "thin" sounding.....

With JB u know what u will get ;)

Also did put a pickup ring in floyd color.

I always wanted one of those. But I'm 5"-14" and 250 pounds, so it would look like a Chicklet on an elephant's a$$:D

Two years ago i purchased the Custom Bengal from GKG. Gary autographed the back of the axe which was a nice touch. The guitar is great. I have been playing (hacking for fun) for 22 years and i suck, but compared to my previous electric, a kramer striker 600ST bought in 1987, this guitar ROCKS!!!! It has the zebra JB and, combined with my new VYPYR 30W amp, it makes my $ 10 fingers sound like $100 fingers! Like already said, the guitar was ready to play right out of the box. My son is taking guitar lessons now on acoustic is he really wants to play the Bengal but he can't pry it from my hands. Overall, great service, support, and product from GKG.

If you look at the VK expo pics, I believe there is a picture of it from either 2007 or 2008.

Sorry. I don't visit to often. Hope this pic shows up. I am afraid to clean bengal due to this pic. BTW, this is a one off custom. This is the only one built.
