Throw some pup rings on it and it's getting real close.

the star on the neckplate is what made me think of the jersy star besides the 3 pups..

Definetly a JS vibe. 3 hums, switch and toggle layout. Yeah, JS. Actually I like more than a JS simply because its not as dopey looking with those lame-assed stars.

I really struggle with the middle H/B. It gets in the way. Its the same for me with the Nightswan. I keep catching that second p/u:arrg

I like it, alot actually. The neck looked awesome... if only it had a reverse headstock.

I like it just as well with out the star inlayes, I like the stars, but it still looks good without them.

That birdeye neck is incredible :drool

Mind you don't take this the wrong, but why is Gary recreating all the models from the era when he had nothing to do with the company :D :D

But seriously, I know we are getting some output from Kramer, but what Gary is producing is way, way better :thumbsup

TOTALLY agree!

But I'd disagree with that statement. Gary is actually making models that are very much changes to existing models from back in the day and doing custom type stuff to those instruments and changing them up a bit. I don't see him doing actual reissues, I think kramer proper are the people to be doing that, he's just taking ideas from the old and making some new out of it.

Its kind of like the Cathedral flametop, its like a Pacer Classic 2.0. Its a different guitar, but has the throwback aspect of it in there.

I think its a brilliant idea too, make models that are mods off things people are familiar with. I think its a good move overall.

Think you got me wrong there Mike :thumbsup

I'm really impressed with what Gary is doing, and I mean really impressed, I was just making a kind of tongue in cheek comment about the fact that Gary was out of the company before they started making the models he's taking his influence from ;)

I totally got you there dude, no worries. My post probably sounded negative, that wasn't the intention, just my opinion. :)

Gary is very aware that he wasn't there in the 80's, we've talked about it. But he very much kept up with the company during the 80's, and Dennis sent him different models from time to time, including a red, pointy Ripley, so he tried to stay up wtih what they were doing. True, it wasn't his company in the 80's, but he still was always very much interested in what they were doing.

Its all good sir, no worries.

Hate the headstock, hate the birdseye maple, hate the lack of pup rings, hate the lack of inlays. Not a J/R S

Never will be anything that match's that

LOVE IT! :drool

Now THAT is great. I like the whole package but especially like the style of claw inlays too :thumbsup

Have always found that his headstock logos (script / block) look pretty good too. (just my opinion)

Where are these ones made? And how did it play/sound?

I just love this guitar! :drool

Looked at these pics and I want one now. Simply stunning. I'II have to see if I can get it in a reverse headstock too. ;)

Neck place is a nice touch and an extra bit of effort/detail which wasn't required, but it shows that some thought and effort has gone into it.

WELL DONE GARY :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :notworthy

I'm in the process of writing a review that will coincide with Gary doing an official press release on these.

I need to get hold of him to see when all of that will go down.

If you guys are interested, you can email Gary Kramer Guitars and ask if you can order one now.

I don't care for necks that look like they have chicken pox.

Also, it looks like he's using the Gotoh floyd, instead of an OFR. John Suhr prefers them as well.

I should have the review done this week and I'll go over the specifics, but, damn near identical in feel, except an oil finish. Plays like greased lightning.
