Why not make it a Sticky and avoid the whack of requests for quotes KF gets...?

:nono :money

It might save on alot of wasted bandwidth.:thumbsup

Maybe a pop up you get when you log in.

The pop up idea is a god one. I get the feeling that someone here for that purpose isn't going to bother to read stickies......

Yeah, but how much is a red EVH-style special version of Baretta worth? It was supposedly a platinum edition made for the man himself. All I can find on the guitar is the serial number ZX30? Is that something like 5150 or sumtin? I'm sittin on a goldmine, right? Thanks much for your help here. I might have to sell it when I can get in the klassified section, unless someone pm's me a really great offer for it! :thumbsup

Yes!!!!!! How lucky am I! I found in my friend's dad's closet, when we were cleaning it out after he passed away, a beautiful red Kramer, Serial no. SE123456, and since my friend doesn't play, he thought I would like it. I will always treasure this beauty and would never, ever dream of selling it. This is exactly like what EVH played. It does have a ding, does that lower the value? What do you think its worth with the ding in it?

I'm still waiting for the monitor that that will allow someone to come through the screen and bitch slap someone. When that is invented, I will ask George to be a Mod again.

Good idea.

That way when we gang up on the newbie for not reading the rules about us not giving valuation or prices there will actually be a rule about us not giving valuations or prices.

I say that we allow values....but the only value allowed is $50.;)

I love that idea - make it the KF "in-joke" and tell 'em $50, then someone PM 'em for $52, then $54...maybe $51.50 for those "just like EVH played" Strikers...

I can't take credit for that one. Lt. Dan called it a long time ago.

Haven't heard from the ring-leader of the Tennessee Mafia in awhile. It'll be in in the national news feeds if anything went wrong with him.:D

LOL Dr. Greenthumb! I think we've all seen these, so I just put together a "best of" I've seen on this forum over time. I just love the ones who assure us they do not want to sell and we see it on ebay the next day. I do agree that there should be a sticky though in big bold letters. I actually took the time to read everything before I made my first post here. To me, that's just common courtesy, to know what the rules are so you don't offend people with your first post.:bananahea

When I first came here I just looked around for info on my guitar. I love my lumie and would never sell it and could care less what it's worth. It took almost a year for me to even post anything. Most forums I go to...nevermind.

I like it here and enjoy the fact you can come here and show of your gear, get feedback, hear some good toons, and not be treated like a n00b. There are no one uppers here and it's no pissing contest.

and $51.50 should be the standard for the custom EVH se564 7 string one of a kind Kramer with ibanez logo.

SERIOUSLY????? REALLY?????

You mean no one is going to tell me what my brother's best friend's dad's cousin's roomate's from college Ultra rare Kramer KS-400 is really worth?

Damn, then what am I doing here? :D

Oh wait....... sadly enough it IS worth 50 bucks, do I hear 51.50??? anyone? anyone?

well, even though no one else has the balls to tell you what your guitar is worth..I am willing to..

of course this is IMHO, however I have bought and sold a number of guitars including kramers i have a fairly good idea and am willing to share it given the fact that I may come under some critcism.

There is a simple formula:

take whatever you think its worth and then deduct whatever someone is willing to pay. The difference is how much out of touch you are.

THEN (and only then) the value of your guitar can be multiplied by a factor of "4" if BOTH of the following apply:

1)You play it through a pro rig, and

2) You can play it the way Me and Tony do.:thumbsup

Totally agree with you here. I may have just joined but I got a nice response from members on my lumie thread.

Wish I could become more active here but I'm already in a music forum which takes most my time.

I'm curious though on what you guys think is a reasonable price range for lumies in ok conditions. Would love to get another in the future.
