Thanks guys. I'm not sure that the fine tuner tail is stock but otherwise it's in incredible condition. Plays nice too. :)

Nice maple goodness, I notice you've been adding quite a few Lumies to your collection lately, this one's another beaut:thumbsup

Um, not sure what you mean. :scratchhe
j/k :D
I may never get my 650 back but at least I am getting to enjoy the metal neck feel again. Almost had a shot at a 650 down in Nashville but it was sold a few hours before Rod and I showed up :banghead

Very nice!! I love clean oldies. I took my "new" 250G apart tonight to clean the pots (the volume was a bit scratchy) and I swear its never been opened up, clean CLEAN CLEAN! Pots date '76! My new Fender looked like crap under the hood compared to this.

Is that solid Flame Maple???:headbang
And how do you know it's a kramer?
I know nothing about a "lumies"
Sorry...:funnel

Hey, Steve, I see just one mini toggle, so is that a DMZ 1500 :D:D:D . Does that lone mini look original?, I'm assuming it splits the bridge.
Steve EZ
07-03-2008, 07:07 AM
Yep, solid flame maple and it's definitely a Kramer ;)
I'm wondering about that single toggle and the bridge pup :scratchhe
I checked though and the electronics are all factory original. I thinnk it's a DMZ1000 v1.5 :D

U gotts to love it when they look like new!!! The lumie's sure do have a comfortable feel to the neck. I have the DMZ600G and i can dial in some nice warm tones to boot!
CONGRATS! :headbang :headbang :headbang

i think i see a hole where the second toggle used to be, i think since the bridge pickup was replaced the coil splitter was taken out with the pickup.
its definitely a 2000 though
Steve EZ
07-03-2008, 12:42 PM
Hard to tell from my picture but there isn't a second hole. The metal shield plate inside the control cavity doesn't have any extra holes.
(Think I'll stop before I say something vaguely obscene :help )

so there isnt even a spot where a hole was filled?
Steve EZ
07-03-2008, 03:18 PM
so there isnt even a spot where a hole was filled?
Nope. They must have used a perfectly matched flame maple plug followed by sanding and buffing the polyester to be perfectly flat. :thumbsup
btw, the X2N is also factory original. If this was made in 78 it may have been slightly different.

07-03-2008, 04:08 PM
factory original x2n? so does that mean this dmz was a custom order?
Steve EZ
07-03-2008, 04:47 PM
Dunno. I'm not positive that it's an X2N but it is the original soldering so it was installed at the factory. The coil tap is on the bridge pup though and it is one of the quietest guitars I own :scratchhe

07-03-2008, 09:53 PM
thats suprising the coil tap is on the bridge pickup, so the neck pickup is a super distortion then?

Looks like, yeah.
That guy with a kramer

Steve, that is no doubt a factory reject, please send it to me immediately. I will give it a good home in the land of misfit toys! :)
Seriously though, given all the recent historic pictures I have seen, there are quite a few variations and paint schemas I never knew existed. I wonder what else is out there? :scratchhe What years did you work there?
Steve EZ
08-03-2008, 06:40 PM
I was there from between 80-83.
The DMZ is the one I reach for first right now. Amazing how quiet the electronics are on it. :scratchhe

08-03-2008, 08:37 PM
Steve-what do you mean by quiet? Like the volume doesn't go loud enough?
Steve EZ
08-03-2008, 08:42 PM
No, like not hint of hum. :thumbsup
