Ha! I emailed them with a few questions and got no response. I've emailed them before and always got a response pronto. What a bunch of weird people at Kramer. You would think they would leak something to create a buzz. But no. That Pacer had better be worth the wait.

Guaranteed disappointment! The Impy will be nice, but the world needs sharpie/pointies!! :headbang
Why does Kramer have to be the stepchild? Fender treats the Jackson/Charvel line with the respect it deserves, B.C. Rich is re-issuing the Gunslinger, which from the sound of it, will be a guaranteed cash-cow, sold-out run. ESP never stopped selling their bread winners and indeed, has the best entry & mid level line along with the Jackson Pro Series. Why can't Kramer cash in on the shred craze again?

Models that are certainly different than anything you've seen before. We got a small preview at the Expo last year, some were pretty cool, some were, eh.
They were just protos though, the final result I'm sure will be way different.
Yes, the Pacer Reissue is game on, that is the one thing I am looking forward to this year from Kramer, I'll have CC ready to go as soon as they are available. :)

I don't understand why people want Nightswans so badly... aren't they short scaled with an R1 neck? That seems so small to me

it really isnt as bad you think- i love the short scale growl that you get

I've said this before...but
Gibson did'nt buy Kramer to make it great again. They bought it to keep control. One of the worse things that could happen to gibson or fender is if someone bought Kramer or charvel who was a genuine guitar nut with a great business head.
It would return them to the 80's which was a dark time for both Gibson and Fender.

Wow...the Kramer-Fender idea actually would have made sense. After looking at all of those hidden product links, I'm drooling. Seems like Kramer just doesn't have the manufacturing capacity. I also think having Internet Direct sales, but no presence at the local music store is a mistake. I can only imagine how they'd do with some talent managing the company. Anybody know how many units a year biggees to smallees do? Like Gibson, Fender, Ibanez, ESP, Jackson?

I imagine they will do like the rest of the industry does. Summer NAMM. Im sure Kramer will have a booth and you'll see the new stuff. Im sure the pacer will be the headliner. BORING!!!! unless the new stuff is truly new and great... What about a Kramer LP with FLoyd and a 25 scale neck. USA Made. Talk about a seller.

Fender can't and wont own Kramer. They already own Jackson and the two brands would conflict with each other. Gibson owning Kramer is actually not a bad thing if they did something with the name but like someone else said, the only reason Gibson bought Kramer out was to control the name and its product. Thats why it is what it is today and even with all the suppression the Kramer name lives on. Kind of amazing isn't it. Anyways, Gibson is in a good position to go up against Ibanez, ESP and Jackson with the Kramer name. Fender vs Gibson, Squier vs Epiphone, Jackson vs Kramer. Its all set up really good, for some good competition and benefits for us the consumers. Shame it won't happen it seems. Maybe Gibson is scared shitless of the Kramer name (and thats why they bought it to control it), like someone mentioned having the brand take off so much that it will take a cut out of their Gibson line. Who knows what their true motives are. If the name and rights were to be sold to an independent owner I think it would take off so quick. All you need are 2 lines. A Heritage line celebrating its 80's roots and a Modern line and they'd have it made.

If the Charvel Rumours are true, they will own the Superstrat market regardless of What Kramer has in store...

Which Charvel rumors? You know I'd love to own one, but they are expensive. Coughing up $2000+ for an axe is not worth it for me.

They wouldn't thats the thing. Use Kramer to compete against ESP, Ibanez and Jackson. I really don't understand their reasoning behind having the Kramer name with such a low profile. Its slowly gaining momentum I guess. Maybe thats their point but since '99 or so is a long time. I dunno

Think we can safely assume that Kramer will never be a market leader again, no point rattling on about it, Gibson aren't interested in marketing it that way.

Hmm,
With all the work I have done on Kramers since I started playing, I have to say pound for pound they are one of the best constructed guitars ever! In one way they took everything about the Fender Stratocaster and improved on it ten fold. It is ironic that a company that isn't known for it's desire to make Strat shaped guitars owns THE super strat guitar manufacturer of the '80s. One company that forged links with Floyd Rose, Schaller, Seymour Duncan and Steve Ripley to produce technological innovations will never be seen again.
I would love to see a phoenix rise from the ashes however as it was clearly pointed out, it is control issues indeed. All one can hope for is that a like minded company develops to produce guitars with the motivations when Kramer were at their zenith, I think at the end of '86, they were bigger than Gibson and Fender:)
One thing I have to be grateful for is the opportunity to take broken down USA Kramers and bring them back to life with custom one off graphics. They are a joy to work on as you all know and I still prefer the look and feel of the '80s Kramers, I guess I have come home in a way as Pacer, Sustainer, Ripley, Sambora, Baretta and Stagemaster were in full swing when I got into playing in school;)

I know that "all good things come to those who wait" but it would be good if we had a better definate idea of when and what. :) We know there is going to be a Pacer as well as some other models from all reports.
Spring release......spring in USA is March to May isn't it? so we are nearing the end of March....... are the new releases coming in the next month or so? We are all impatiently patiently waiting.:D Also noticed that spring release report had the word "spring"(in inverted commars) which could mean anytime thereafter!!!! and we all know about the dates on Yo site when we have been waiting for stock to come in.
Are the new releases going to be released at the Kramer Expo perhaps? :scratchhe but that isnt until June 21...that is summer over there right? Or will they be released at NAMM? Hopefully we won't all be sick of waiting.
We all love KRAMERS right.......and no doubt we have all been spreading the word......I know that CJ has found quite a few new kramer devotees/customers from watchers on his Youtube videos and he has directed them where to go to find them and even directed them here to KF for information. :thumbsup The trouble is these ones are very keen to become Kramer owners but unfortunately the guitars are mostly not in stock and they will be unable to get them.......and some are even discontinued. :-x Crikey we are very lucky to have the ones we already have. We have the new reissues and do not own any of the vintage ones. Over here in Aus we are not too game to buy the vintage ones as we cannot get parts easily and have to ship them in ......but having said that.........we have seen quite a few we would have liked and still would like. :drool
There are still some 85 Baretta Reissues on the Yo site and at other music retailers for sale, both S & D and firsts, so maybe if somebody really wants one of these, they should grab it now while they can even if you have to get a loan or credit. :money We do. :thumbsup
Just my dumb opinion anyway.
