I played one of those NJ Classic series guitars not too long ago, and aside from a tuning issue, it sounded & played great!:thumbsup

is your (new era) Wave a HHI?

BTW, Jeff, do you still have that vid of you playing some Robin Trower with it? (I loved that video, and would like to see it again!:thumbsup )

Dont know what it is, I've played many BC's over the years. Was never really impressed with any of them.

I very nearly soiled myself when I saw that shredtastic yellow gunslinger.

Unless this Pacer RI blows me away, I can see me purchasing one of them.

I really love that guitar (NJ Wave Neck-Thru). It by far is the heaviest guitar I own ( with major tone to die for). When I bought it brand new (outta the box) it needed some serious attention (everything needed to be tightened down from the tuners to the nut). After I got it working well, it plays killer. I love Floyd Bridges and usually BC Rich guys love Kahlers. I think that is why they discontinued the model.

OK,

I've never been a BC Rich fan at all. But those Gunslingers are cool. I love the hum/sing configuration aesthetically. I just think it looks very cool. If they did that guitar in blue, I'd be forced to consider it.

Cool stuff.

Glad to see the maple boards slowly coming back, too. Maybe Ibanez's 20th anniv. RG 550s last year are helping catalyze that trend.

I asked Tracii about the gunslingers being re-released but he woulnt say anything other then there was talk about doing it. Supposedly he had something to do with it. Not sure how much truth there was to that but MAN I'M STOKED TO SEE A NEW GUNSLINGER!!!! I Can't wait for pricing.

$600.00 for the single hum Gunslinger. I have already placed my order for the yellow one. Delivery ETA is mid to late February.

That's exactly what the old Gunslinger was ;), and probably why it's appealing to so many Kramer guys today. If you can't get a real Baretta, go for teh next best thing. Once again, way freakin' go Gibson! :thumbsup

I like the GS, but the headstock doesn't do it for me.

Also, they need to get away from the satanic shaped bodies. I'm mean really, who the hell plays those anyway? I've never seen one on stage...hell, I'd be too ashamed!

It's a touch smaller than the old one, but it doesn't bother me. Kinda like Kramer making the 84 HS too big only better mistake, IMO.

I wouldn't put too much stock in Kramer being the original. Keep in mind almost all of the companies in the 80's had a guitar like this. I played a friend's 1983 Charvel that was almost exactly like a 1984 era Kramer.

Well, I went and put down some money at my local BC dealer for a yeller Gunslinger... I guess these guitars are such a hit so far at NAMM that there's quite the backlog of shops calling in to order them. One guy in this post said mid-late Feb for delivery, I was told April-May:scratchhe I don't care though, I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Yeah I know, I sold a USA BC this past year for $450. It too was yellow, but I didn't like the pickups, or the Ibanez Edge trem (the USA's came stock with these for a period of time).

I wanted a brand new one just to say I did... no fretwear, dings, scratches, nothing. I keep my toys pretty mint, so I want this thing fresh.

yeah, depending on which one you like,

the ASM pro is neck through, alder body, EMG's, OFR.

and both have a regular headstock

in the "marsmountain" posted photo...

I had picked up the body in an eBay Auction a couple of years back as a replacement for my original G-Slinger Body (had cracked by one of the trem posts...which I had repaird and put together w/a new Bullseye Camo Paint Job paired w/a 1991 Ibanez RG550 Rosewood Neck for my now 9 1/2 year old son...who has begun learning on it as of recent) and that body popped up for $90.00 or $120.00 (don't remember which) so of course I jumped on it.

Rich's are the best - I have a blue 8? neck-thru Stealth; '79 dark sunburst Eagle Bass and an 8? Gunslinger in a red wine sort of color - the necks on all of these are awesome - the old USA California made ones were by far the best quality craftmanship - not sure about the newer ones though.
