Hey guys,

Here's a project that sat on the backburner for over a year because I wanted to get the parts to fit right.
The body is a 1993 Jackson Dinky with a factory Dragon graphic. I love this design, and it's not just a RATT thing. ;)
Getting a 24-fret USA Jackson neck proved to be a very difficult task. I tried other necks, including overseas Jacksons, and they just didn't fit right. USA Jacksons have a very deep neck pocket.
Finally, after a year (!) of looking, I found a 1997 PC-1 neck, which is one of the best necks Jackson makes really. (Nice rounded back profile, like the '85 Barettas)
I don't know how long it'll last with that Schaller Hot Stuff humbucker in there (it's just overkill) but I am diggin' it right now. I also put in a coil tap instead of the tone pot there.

Looking very nice George:thumbsup , definitely swap out the bridge pup though it draws your eyes away from the graphic.

Thanks, bros! :notworthy
I scored the neck on ebay--after a heads up on the Jackson Forum. I had no idea these necks had a quilted maple fretboard, very cool! Really sweet player too. :thumbsup

I give you 50$ for that young man;)

I love it, I saw the preview, had no time to reply. Awesome axe. There's nothing like building your own beast.

Pickup has go to go.

I think Duncan Custom 5 in there. But that's just me.

Love it. Bad ass.

If you really have spare $$, you got get a Seymour Duncan custom shop Warren de Martini pickup. Sets you back 160$ but is a killer pickup..
oops there's one on ebay as we speak. Very first one is actually..

As Remy said, I need a different bridge pickup and I'll be all set. I've actually tried a JB and a Super Distortion in there already and they sounded terrible in the light alder body! I'll def keep you posted bros.

Wow, that thing is amazing! I had a PC guitar a while back, couldn't get used to the super skinny neck width at the top. Regardless, that guitar looks killer and I'll bet it plays and sounds the same.

+1 on the Warren D. pickup. I have one in my alder body clone that is just freaking amazing. Best SD available.

What does it sound like? isn't it just a higher output JB?

Thanks again guys. The nut width is actually 1 11/16 at the nut.
Anyone know where I could buy one of these Warren D p/us? Not sure I want to shell out for it yet, but I'd love to see it online. :thumbsup
