Vote!

I've always loved Reversed headstocks...(sure for me they are technically easier to get even though the logos and nut are back to front :D ) they just look so badass. They take a normal guitar and turn it into a weapon...a forced to be reckoned with...I love the different feel of the balance and gravity that reverse headstocks create, even if it's slight...and I love the look of them...playing and looking down the fretboard to the titled back reversed headstock.

I don't have any guitars with a reverse headstock but they sure are cool :thumbsup

I dig 'em. Not sure I'd want all my guitars to have reverse headstocks as that would ruin the novelty, but when you pull one out, everybody goes "WHOA!!, cool axe!":thumbsup

Love the reverse head. Like Joel said, I wouldn't want them all to be that way, but I'd sure like to have more than what I do.
I think if they were all that way the novelty would wear off.

I've always thought that pointy headstocks look much better reversed. I prefer strat and beak headstocks to be normal, though. Someone here had a signature "Defend yourself with a pointy headstock!" Easier to do when it points up!

Reversed looks awesome on pointies!

For strat based models if there is a pointy, I prefer regular...strat headstocks reversed!

I voted standard.

2 out of 5 garage band lead singers in the 80's, who had guitarist with reversed headstock guitars, were maimed unrecognizable or killed. There is nothing funny about a Jackson headstock having to be surgically removed from a singers eye socket. This is all made worse by the fact that you should break off the headstock in the singers head before loading him into the ambulance instead of simply pulling it out. The screaming that ensues as clueless guitarists are slamming the headstock on stage, Pete Townshend style while the singers is still attached, just to break the headstock!

I don't even want to discuss the decapitations.:nono

Look at this victim------>:bananahea
See how pale he is from blood loss? He wont live. Why? Because LeftHandedShedder went on a spinning spree one night while playing the solo to "Bohemian Rhapsody". This is his 3rd lead singer this month.:-x

Fact: Ozzy sounds so out of it and mumbles to himself today because Randy Rhodes "harpooned" :vee him right down the throat during Crazy Train one night. :yikes If it was a reversed head...Ozzy would be dead <sniff>. The press covered it by saying it was bat blood....but now we know better.

Children of the Axe...Hear My Plea!!!!!!! Those guitars aren't safe!!! I have started a disposal organization to send your guitar to. It is your civic duty to remove the tool of so much death, destruction and suffering from our stages.

If you ask me, LHS started this thread to enlist a sick gang of killers. Shame on you! Shame......!

I'm not a singer, but I'd like to offer you every t-square my nits were assaulted with in Junior HS drafting class! Yes, thanks to those fine instruments I do sing into the soprano range and beyond! Amaze your friends after just one treatment by making the neighborhood dogs howl in agony! these are of the finest vintage maple constructruction with the highly desirable "plexi" that gives it a keen edge. As a bonus, I will include a tutorial on "stalking the mark" and "the reverse nuggy-whack", sure to make you a pro, or bring back the glory days of yore. Also, I will include the patent for the pointy part of compasses (great for builders!) and a box of 5B drafting leads. Please respond now as orders are limited and the first 10 callers will recieve a slightly used Bike (TM) athletic supporter with cup.

Thanks for looking! :thumbsup

I try to keep away from the singer as much as possible, and reach that goal by keeping my strings as long as possible sticking out like a porky pine...:happy1

There are 9 ways to kill a singer with the axe in my signature....I had to get rid of it out of safety ;)

Very funny Chris :D

To be honest, yes I wouldn't want all my axes reversed...but on the real shredder ones, I just love it.

Also in general I don't like stratheads or anything of that calabre reversed, but in the case of one particular Yngwie Malmsteen copy strat, it is pretty cool!

Well I like 'em both, depends on the guitar. On RRV's, Explorer's, X's and such definitely always ok with reversed, Hamer superstrats like the Centaura too.

I like the looks of a reverse peghead like the Nightswan, nana,Jackson, strat. To me,it has the "WOW" factor.

I like the way reverse head stocks look.
I don't like using them. They are ass backwards and they always feel awkward when tuning.
I have to stop and think about what I'm doing instead of it just being natural.

So my preference is for Standard.

Don't really like the look, and I hate the dorktard feeling of having to remember the last machine is the 1st string and reaching around like a monkey picking his ass over his shoulder. If it's standard and supposed to be on the axe, well ya just have to have it. If not, I vote for standard.

I've got both, but prefer the standard. When I was younger I thought the reverse was awesome but have grown out of it now.

Dean: Best of both worlds?

Gibson: Never know if it's standard or reversed?

I voted reversed. They are kind of a bitch to tune compared to normal, but I just dig the look. I own two with reversed heads.

i voted standard pointy... i always liked how it reminded me of a scythe.

although.. there is a build i'm doing that will have a reverse pointy, but that's all i'm disclosed to say at this time.

Great to have choices, for safety first then a nana or classic. If you're mean & nasty then pointy, reverse takes the attitude stakes to 11 or dare I say it 'inifnity'. Scrub that for safety get a steiney:D Everyone needs some reverse pointies in their Kramer kollection though:thumbsup

Reversed looks great on some guitars, but they can kinda be a pain in the ass. I really hate how I whack em up against the wall when I plop on the couch, thinking I have a standard in my hands.
I went standard.

And Gas that PGM looks like a Beast!

I had to vote for reverse headstock as well. Funny thing is, when I was a kid I thought reverse heads looked poser like... now I prefer them.

If I had it my way, all my Kramers would be reversed as well as my others.

Reversed was my way to go :) My Nightswan is still my #1 as playability too! Although I also love reversed on older Charvels

Well having a reversed headstocks isn't too much of a trouble for me seeing I'm always setting up and tuning right handed guitars :D

Interesting opinions. some nice Guitars too!

As I said, I wouldn't have all my axes reversed but the ones that are, I really like...now for couch noodling it's stratheads...pointies cause too much...uh...damage.
